A RATHER EXCEPTIONAL SITE...

The Pic-Saint -Loup vineyard is situated twenty kilometers from Montpellier. This peak ( Pic-Saint-Loup ) marks the border between the Montpellier region and the nearby Cévennes. The majestic landscape is tempered by an alignment of vine plants on different types of soils. .

Close to Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles, with a good exposure south of Pic Saint Loup, the borders of the massifs made of screes and medium size calcareous broken stones, represent the best " terroirs ".

… For A Top Quality Wine

The vineyard grows on highlands with dry and poor soils dominating the Lanuedocian plain and on calcareous grounds which naturally limit the yield. The 300 ha cultivated produce each year 15,000 hectoliters of wine with character. The " Syndicat du Cru " therefore, has promoted the Pic-Saint-Loup terroir to the level of " Cru ".

This terroir expresses very particular aromas and represent the highest level of the appellation.
